First off, you guys are awesome. Thanks for giving us such great quality games. Your site was linked from another site and I tried out Dogfight 2. LOVE IT! Reminds me of the old PC - CGA game called Sopwith but 100% polished. The levels are fun. I played for a couple hours and I'm up to 13. Level 9 (Destroy the 4 bombers) was a killer for me. The next few were a breeze so I'm not sure if it's my playing style or what.
The Graphics are incredible. They look very real yet fake also. (hope that makes sense) - Well done. One thing I might recommend is making the Aces' colors (light blue) a little more distinctive. When they are mixed with other planes, they are easily lost. Also the chance to restart from the current level would be nice. Any chance of a downloadable version I could purchase? Thanks again for all you hard work.

Any thoughts on how to finish 18? Seem to lose the bombers each time. Is it impossible or is there something someone has figured out?

I don't recommend putting spoilers for levels in the forum as there are plenty of people out there who will want to figure it out themselves.

It is definitely beatable. Took me a few attempts learning it too.

To Brain32, what I do is at the beginning going a little down, fly an advance between you 4 bombers, drop 4-5 bombs on the first plane coming, continue straigh on and drop the rest of your bombs on the scadron who is coming next. Finisch the work with your gun. Bonne chance ;-)

Awesome games.I never saw such good quality games ever.For DF2 I reached lvl 19 but it was hard way there, I like the challenge and time they gave to this awesome game. The first one was easier... maybe too much! Anyway I really look forward to this website.

I kept loosing all the bombers in that level 18 as well. My best advice is to take as many as you can out as fast as you can. I dropped bombs on a few fighters to give me an advantage over them. Best flash game I ever played. Keep up the good work rock solid.

well, its a bit hard. too easy to make ace tactics though. you should make it that you have to press a button (example 1) and it will come up with "360 loop". then you do it, then it confuses, so it doesnt just activate when ur trying to get the target in range

After lockin to dogfight2, Icouldn't press the fire to start. Or even when i could lock in , the only thing I could do was moving the plane. I couldn't fire at all.
Can anybody tell me why?

Something more: its a funny thing, that when you want to fly to the left, the plane is always upside down.

have you notice that when your multiplayer is over then x55 your airplane gets weak?!?!!
i get shoot only twice than i died.... it's unfair...

Its strange how Dogfight 2, as fun as it is, is harder than Dogfight 1. I've analyzed both and you are pretty much doing the same things in DF2 levels that are like the DF1 levels. Obviously Bombing Run levels and Protection levels and stuff like that are different, there are more elements in one level. So those should be harder. If anything I'm not comparing those levels to Dogfight 1. But just plain Fighter and Ace and Bomber and AA Gun levels are strangely harder than the ones in Dogfight 1 even though they're exactly the same. Maybe it's just a phycological thing.

A good analysis of the two Dogfight games is that DF1 is just a hair too easy and DF2 is just a little bit too hard.

What a great game. Def. more Dif. then DF1. I thought Mission 19 was impossible too. Took me hours to pass it. My reakin fingers are killing me. My keyboard was screaming at me. "Not so hard!!"

The only change I would rec. is that you could save after each level. Just getting from 6 to 16 was nearly impossible. I am stuck on 22 now but I am confident I will be victorious! Game on!

I think it' too hard, actually. The squadron level is horrible : my wingmen do absolutely nothing, they get gunned down in seconds, and so I'm up against 10-odd enemies (they're more skilled than before, and we're more outnumbered than in DF1). I had to try a good 4 times to get through. And as it's a one against 5 or 6 situation + bombers in the next mission, I got killed.

And... I can't retry the same mission !! It's very frustrating, when the former was fun. You should let the player retry whichever level they want !! Not only every 6 levels !

The nice thing in DF 1 is that there was no concept of 'lives'. You could just try and replay every mission. It was more fun that way.

also, you dont have to press fire (space) to start a level. the direction keys work too and enemies are completeley oblivious until they get shot or bombed

sometimes i get 400 and sometimes i even get 6000 from a skill drop... what the heck?

Awesome. I am addicted to this game. I just figured level 19 thanks to Biloutte. I did it just like you said. Second time I was through. Fly all the way forward and wait for the second wave. They come in stacked. So just sort of lay the bombs out right in front of them. Try to create a line straight down of bombs and they fly right into it. Works like a charm! Thank you Biloutte.

Suggestions - I want to keep bombing that big freaking air ballon and get more points. Would like to see that thing just blow to pieces. Also....when I hit the smaller blimps they take out buildings but they don't take out planes. Would like to be able to take out planes with them.

Final tip to those that may not know. You can really really work up points on the bombers. Just fly behind them and keep shooting them all the way down. You can get over 10,000 points doing that on a bomber.

pantomime, you get 400 times your multiplier. If you don't die, then you can get 400 * 25 on the last level or 10,000 per fighter plane. When I got there a second time, it was 20,000 per fighter plane

I cannot get past the level where you bomb the airbase when they're excpecting the general. I think its unfair that we have to start 3 levels before if we fail, I've been trying for 5 flipping days just to beat that level!!! Can anyone give me some advice??

I need help with level 19(protect the bombers) in dogfight 2. any hints?

Level 19: The dreaded Ace escort level. It's not that bad. Ignore the ground targets. It starts you off flying over your 4 bombers you must protect. Come in flying in between them. Two bombers above you, two below. as the first group of fighters come at you strafe them with 5 or 6 bombs
and keep going. As the next group comes do the same. If you did the job well there won't be too hellatious of a fight. Kill the ACE pilots FIRST. I often get through this with all 4 bombers left.

I've become quite the pro at this game and can get through the whole game 3 or 4 times over without losing my first plane and have a high score of over 9 million so if you want some great tips print this. I'm not trying to brag, I'm just hoping someone can elaborate on my tips so I can get higher than 9 million.
Level 1: It's pretty easy
Level 2: Easy. Kill the planes kill the balloon. Fly straight up and let the planes follow you to hit with bombs.
Level3: Don't start the level shooting at all. Get in front of the planes and bit higher and poop out the bombs on top of them.
Level 4: Bombers. Start the level shooting and flying straight until the fighters appear. Kill the two fighters.You can rack up huge points by shooting the bombers until they puff black smoke then get way behind them and riddle them with bullets all the way to the ground.
Level5: Angle upwards and strafe the the oncoming fighters with bombs. What few are left just kill. This level is pretty easy.
Level 6: Fly the opposite direction the plane is pointing when the level starts by looping up and back. Fly all the way to the left until you can't go any further. The enemy fighters, for some reason, won't shoot you over there and they love to follow you up where you can drop bombs on them easily.
LEVEL7: Nothing special here just kill the planes and targets.
LEVEL8: Immediately double back without engaging enemies and fly as far to the left as you can. The planes won't shoot you back there just like on Level 5.Sometimes they will fly back to the right so you have to go after them. They WILL shoot at you over there.
Level9 This bomber level can be hard. Start out NOT shooting and fly over the first fighter cruising behind the bomber. If you don't shoot, it won't move. When you get over and in front of it poop out 2 quick bombs and kill it. Then go back to the left and wait for the rest. Kill them and score big points slaying the bombers.
Level 10: The air ship is real easy.
Level 11: The bombing run level is easy. Just go forward at a low level and bomb the ground targets. The only fighter will follow you up so you can drop a bomb on it. finish of the other ground targets.
Level 12: The Barrage balloon level is easy.
Level 13: The Ace pilot. To beat this every time just go forward and kill the ground targets. After the last target go straight up. The ace pilot will be following. Drop 2 bombs to kill it. You MUST shoot the parachute afterwards.
Level14: The convoy is easy. Make sure you take out the first two vehicles at the head of the convoy FIRST. Then kill the rest.
Level15: This level gives you lots of bombs. Fly straight and get a couple shots into the balloon before doubling back. Strafe oncoming planes from above with about 10 bombs. Clean up the survivors. MAKE SURE you save enough bombs to finish off the buildings.
LEVEL 16: Gun jam level. As the planes approach strafe the hell out of them with bombs from above(of course).. I've actually killed them all in one pass a few times. You only have a few
bullets in your machine gun. Use them after the first pass. Then strategically drop bombs on the remaining few.
Level:17Death from above. Easy. Double back and drop bombs 2 at a time on the bombers. Fly as close as you can over them. Keep an eye out to MAKE SURE the bombers are dying. IF one doesn't immediately go back and kill it. DO NOT fly under the bombers as they too drop bombs.
When you get to the end of the screen(all the way left) you are in La La land where the fighters will not shoot at you. Take your time and score big points dropping bombs on the fighters and killing the parachutes.
Level 18:Break the line. Sooo easy. Immediately double back to the far left of the screen. This is LaLa land again where the fighters will not shoot back and you have 24 bombs. take your time and mop up points killing with bombs and shooting the parachutes. BIG points level here.
Finish off ground targets as you escape to the right.

Level 20: Short supply is easy. Immediately double back to the far left of the screen till you can't go any further. This is LaLa land again where the fighters won't shoot back at you. Kill them with machine gun ONLY. You'll need all your bombs to finish off the buildings or shoot the balloons to crash into the buildings to save bombs. DO NOT run out of bombs with a building standing or you lose.
Level 21: Do not fire your machine guns as you approach the first bomber. Fly over it and drop 2 bombs to kill it then fly straight up and let both fighter planes follow you up (hopefully)as you unload bombs on them. Hopefully you got them both. Bomb the bombers.
Level 22: Fly up NOT into the cloud(the enemy will double back) and drop bombs then head way way to the far left of the screen until you pass your reinforcements. Just hang around there while they battle it out then head back to the fight and kill them.
Level 23. As the planes come make sure you hit the Ace with bombs. Make sure you get the parachute or you lose.
Level 24: See level 17. Same strategy.
Of course I didn't mention you want to kill as many parachutes as you can along the way if
you want big points. The ONLY way to get huge points is to get through the WHOLE game without
EVER dying.
This is my basic strategy. Hope it helps!
