First of all, this is a great game, and I don't regret paying the $10 for the full version. However, I am a little disappointed with a few things.
First of all, there was only 1 (and arguably zero) new weapons once you paid. Sure, there were the medium and heavy levels of the laser, but I don't consider that a new weapon. And the pulse gun was already in the shop (although not usable) in the free version. Considering you could only play 40% of the levels, I had expected that I would have only seen ~40% of the weapons, not all of them. Most people, after playing through the free levels enough times to want to buy the full version, most likely have 4 x rare light lasers. After that there is almost no need to upgrade until level 8 when pulse guns become necessary.
Similar with items - the only new item was the rare weapon sensor, which as far as I can tell doesn't really do anything - the occurrence of rare weapons seems to be random anyway, so who can say if it's 5% more frequently or not?
The second thing I was a little disappointed by was the map design in the later levels - specifically extra keys. In at least 4 of the last 6 levels I ended the level - having cleared every single room - with 1 or even 2 extra keys. Are there secret doors that these keys go to that I failed to discover? I spent honestly several hours looking for where to use these keys, circling through every room over and over. I'm not sure if that's a valid complaint or not, but it really bothered me.
I was impressed with the new enemies - there were lots of new enemies in the later levels (not just 'red' versions of existing ones!). I especially like the 'sleeping' bots that wake up when they first take damage.
Anyway, now I'm just slashing my way through the earlier levels again with 4 x rare heavy pulse guns (Multiple targets, +18% rate of fire, extra bullet speed).
