I lost my licence for Robokill because I wiped put the flash cache to many times. How bout
another way of clearing the save files that doesn't throw the registration data out as well

you can make it better by upgrading more wapons and making enemies stronger

Great game. Having played enough to accumulate over $800,000, I noticed a few things:

- The riot shields are nowhere near as useful as the shield rechargers.

- The range of values for cash seems very wide, so the item for increasing cash values slightly seems negligible when there's that much variance. You could consider either narrowing the range or doing something else creative with a cash sensor (ie, increase cash values by 50%, but only for 3 rooms, or only for 60 seconds).

- When I started playing, I only wanted to use the blaster and grenade. Shotgun seemed useless.

- I fail to see the usefulness of the revenge detonator, other than just being a novelty item, but it takes up an inventory square. If you want to keep it you could consider making it something built in to the character, and you could pay to upgrade it, but never get rid of it.

- I actually like the rare weapon sensor.

- "More levels," "more weapons," "more enemies" all go without saying, of course!

- More things to interact with at each level (maybe just more random stuff to blow up). This makes it a bit more interesting if you are going to grind, but if you want to discourage grinding, perhaps not.

- As it stands now, I think you should have to complete more rooms in order to pass a level. Could vary it, so that some missions you have to clear ALL rooms.

My only gripe is that there are a lot of rooms where even on my pretty beefy computer it bogs down and I can easily end up walking twice as far as I meant to and fall off the edge or something stupid like that. Hoping Robokill 2 is either cleaner or has some sort of compensation for this as it's really frustrating to play a room 5 times when I'm actually in no danger from the enemies in it.

Aside from that:

Balance pass. Some weapons are useless. By the time you get the Heavy Shotgun it's pointless and by the time you get Heavy Lasers you are pretty much either using them or purposefully choosing Pulse, which while awesome, make it such a pain to see incoming rounds.

Maybe expand all weapon types to different tiers of damage. So if you think the blasters are awesome, there are blasters at the end of the game that are powerful enough to be viable.

Really though, memory leak or whatever it is. That's the only thing that breaks the deal for me. I play at break at work and replaying multiple rooms for stupid reasons just takes the point out of it when time is an issue.

@jbufo: Perhaps your computer was "beefy" 3 years ago? For me this game works without issues on a standard year old $600 laptop. Perhaps try a lighter browser (especially if you use IE).

As for Robokill 2..

The game needs better saving options, I hate to start all over everytime I clear my cache files.

Add variety to the game enviroment.. variable locations, different lighting and weather effects would be nice.

Strong boss enemies for final rooms and not just ones you can simply dispatch by shooting at them, for example you'd need to lure them into traps.

Puzzle elements, some which you have to solve while in the middle of a battle (such as killing the enemies in a correct order to disable say respawning or whatever..)

More variety to weapons.. lock-on missiles, EM pulses, railguns, mortars with decent splash damage, nukes, rockets, mines, possibly fire support (gunships, artillery.. terrain dependant of course).. whatever.

More enemies with sub-targets.

Perhaps some kind of a slomo ability which would allow you to lock-on to multiple targets and unleash some special attack on all of them at once.

Better graphics, more detail and stuff to blow up.

Just some of the things I'd like to see in a sequel.

Thanks.

Edit: And add on cheat codes, so we can fuck around without having to resort to 3rd party supported progs like Cheat Engine which can be a pain for those not very computer savvy.

Wow.

There are some hefty Must-Haves for what is supposed to be an easy to load up browser game!

Only so much graphics and things you can do before you start bordering into a full fledged game, I think the way it is now is as good as it should get due to it being a scrolling, Flash game.

I would go a different route, I would instead ask for story depth, maybe personal it more with say, other characters within the game --- like some evil half-robot/half human guy thats in charge of the enemy robots. A change of color would be nice too for the robot you control, say a custom module where you can give it your own personal look. The Weapons and such --- aside from a few minor details, I just don't expect to be any better because its not something like Armored Core nor is it supposed to be.

I do agree with the weather effects idea, more weapons of course --- and maybe an upgrade of bots, say --- different bots with more places to attach sheilds and weapons.

Cool game all in all, I think most people are simply spoiled to death over fast computers and extreme graphics these days.

I agree, different type of robots would be good. I mean prior to start, player should be able to select from different type of robots; specs of the alternatives varies as per thier default speed, strenght, etc.

There should be an option upgrade both weapons and robot itself.

Bigger maps; not limited to any screen resolution.

Some "Tomb Raider" elements; player should be trigger a switch in order to open a door, or, press or step on a button to trigger a trap...

And, please, if it is possible, a level editor which support new textures! A level editor makes this game timeless and much more precious.
