Feature Requests, General Feedback, Annoying Bits

Hello everyone, thanks a lot for a great game!
After several nights one-on-one with the killer robots aboard the station, I feel obliged to give some feedback and make some suggestions.

LOG-IN-SCREEN
- Option to view robot level and inventory before you choose a save-slot.
- Option to delete an old robot or rename it.

LOG-IN-ROBOT-SELECTION RELATED OPTINAL FEATURES
- Option to costomize robot, the most basic feature would probably be customizable color (from yellow/orange to red, blue, green, black, white, purple, grey, ..)
- Robot/saveslot-name visible during game, somewhere small at the border of the screen, so that you know which of your robots you are currently using.

ADVANCED GAMEPLAY
- customizable controlls. (i.e. put map on delete-button, inventory on end-button, which is a configuration I would feel very comfortabe with)
- optional full-screen mode (toggle on and off by player)
- "use now" option for medipacks ("emergency shield power"), to reduce switching between battles and inventory-screen, which becomes pretty annoying after a while.
- customizable "quick change" function, see end of post.

MORE CONTROL OVER GAMEPLAY
- Level-Number visible on main screen.
- "Proceed" and "Quit" options after completing a level.
- option to play in higher difficulty mode, with increased monetary, experience and weapon drop rewards.

ADDITIONAL CONTENT
- training-mode in which we can play individual rooms from levels we already mastered
- level-editor
- in the long run, if possible, some kind of multi-player-mode
(play-level-together as well as player-vs-player)

THINGS THAT ANNOY ME PERSONALLY
- Pule Rifle and Laser are in a completely different class than previous weapons, which means you basically have just two viable weapon options to equip your robot from after level 25; which means less diverse strategical gameplay at higher level than at low-levels.
Either update beginner-weapons to "Ultra-Heavy" and "Extreme" or introduce more high-end weapons.
- Pulse Rifle makes game for me nearly unplayable, half of the time I can't dodge enemy fire because it becomes obscured by my own scattered shots.
- Fire Rate Bonuses shrink over time, which makes the quest for "the perfect configuration" pretty moot; after all, why spend hours after you beat the game chasing after a "freezing +20% attack rate" laser, if the last one you got is barely +12% by the time you get a second.
- Once I reach lvl 34 (maximum level from what I can see), the only weapons sold in the shop are different sized pulse rifles - which is annoying like hell if you are still looking for a certain Rare Heavy Blaster (Freezing Knockback hits-multiple-targets and Freezing +20% attack rate hits-multiple-targets are my personal favorites) or a Uncommon Heavy Laser (+20% attack speed normally).

QUICH CHANGE CONFIGURATION FEATURE
I don't know about the rest of you, but I personally like using the exact right tool for any given task. Going to the Inventory in the middle of a battle is kind of annoying, though, so I thought about a feature that would make weapon- and item- changes a lot more comfortable and quicker.
The basic idea is this:
You set a certain combination of weapons and items to one button, whenever you press this button, the pre-select configuration is equipped. Not all weapon- and item-slots must be affected, a simple check-box for each slot would make that feaseable.
The quick-configurations could be managed from a sub-menu of the inventory, where you can assign any combination of items and weapons together with a pre-set button and a cofiguration name to one of i.e. 8 slots.
One slot-profile might look like this:
1 "Standard" (Weapon 1-4: pre-selected advanced attack rate Heavy Lasers)
2 "Spider-Killer" (Weapon 1-4: pre-selected hit-multiple-targets knockback Heavy Blasters)
3 "For Pure Fun" (Weapon 1-4: pre-selection of one Heavy Grenade, one freezing Heavy Shotgun, one hit-nultiple-targets Heavy Blaster, one of the two original Light Blasters from the start of the game)
Q "Shield Recovery" (Item 2-4: pre-selected Shield Rechargers)
W "Money Maker" (Item 2-4: pre-selected Cash Sensors)
E "Raritude" "Item 2-4: pre-selected Rare Weapon Sensors)
R "Emergency!" (Item 4: most-powerful Emergency Shield Powers)

I suggest a list with names and button visible on the left side and the current configuration of your robot on the right side. If you click one of the quick-config slots, the line gets highlighted and the pre-set configuration is shown beneath the current configuration, with unaffected weapon or item slots grayed out. Every slot in the current configuration has a number of buttons available, including "use this" and "use strongest item of this type" and "ignore" (=slot not used in this configuration). Clicking any of these changed the preset-config accordingly.

Back in the game, all you have to do is press the proper button and you immediately get the desired weapon and item combination. Also, the name assigned to this config might be shown for a second.

Another feature related in its functionality, since players will spend a lot less time in the inventory would be a toggle-able (player has choice to make visible and invisible) stat-bar at the buttom of the screen showing the currently equipped gear.

Also, Items used in any quick-config-slot should be marked accordingsly in the inventory, to prevent players from accidentially selling the wrong stuff.

Thanks for the attention.

So long

Great game, just finished it. Wasted about 20 hours this week, which is more gaming than the past couple of years! Excellent merge of Alien Syndrome and Smash TV.

One thing I'd like to see - more variety in the pyrotechnics as weapons are upgraded. More spectacular size/pattern/colours/sounds. This would make progress more rewarding, especially considering the enemy strength seemed to match weapon availability pretty well. It would even be fun to mix powers just to see the rainbows.
