Hello all,
Im a fan! Heard the RockSolid history and felt great simpathy for you 4 dudes.
I have an idea that could use some of the RoboKill concept to creat a good space shooting arcade game. Please tell me what you think.
Name: Spacedrift (Im just kidding, i dont have a clue about a good name)
Brief Description: You are owner of a ship, in a huge space filled with Alian races, each reace owning its on sector of space. Your goal can be to destroy the alien races, to conquer a number of planets or just to adventure in to the inumerous sectors of space.
Details: The ship would be te same as the robot, with more slots, for weapons, items, shields, engine, and special powers.
The map of the game would be the space, where you could find friendly planets to purchase items. In a sector there would be 2 to 4 planets and all around the planets there would be stations that would spawn enemies, that would pratol around. To conquer a planet, one would have to destroy the designated stations, and the planet main station.
You would be able to hire mercenaries ships, that would follow you fighting off enemies. You would be able to conquer a planet that has a special technology allowing you to purchase special intems.
You would be able to fly around, exploring space, and even do a quest or two.
Your ship could be able to transport a ROBOTKILL unit to deploy in stations that you want to conquer, then you could play yourself or just let the computer calculate the odds.
As you level up, you would be able to buy longer range engines and acess more difficult sectors. You would find space pirate bands flying through space that you could eliminate.
And that simply using the RobotKill interface, which is simple, and fun to play. Maybe you could add a rightclick action. To activate shields for exemple. Or a flash light to guide you through darker areas of space.
If any one is interest I can write a more detailed report on this idea.
Thanks! Let me hear what all of you have to say.
