IMHO you should be able to survive with a full complement of gatlings.. assuming you're still in the early stages of the game. I wouldn't even buy anything since the items wont be worth the money yet.. & you'll need as much money saved in the later stages for buying that 'RARE' item that you'll really need against the harder levels.
Once you're into the 4 million moneys (you can reach that much money easily by NOT buying anything for ages.. instead relying on enemy drops & treasure chests) ..you'll be looking to buy either the lvl 8 shield chargers, riot shields, emergancy repair & rare weapon sensors.
For weapons, I suggest you read this:
ROBOKILL I (Ver 2.0)
Weapons Array 01
Left Hand: Heavy Laser (Rare) - +19% ROF, Freeze
Inner Left: Heavy Pulse Gun (Rare) - Hits Multi Targets, +55% Bullet Speed
Right Hand: Heavy Laser (Rare) - +20% ROF, Freeze
Inner Right: Heavy Pulse Gun (Rare) - Knockback, Freeze
Desc:
This is the ideal setup you'll need to go for to deal with the mid/late stages of the game. Heavy pulse guns will deal with the swarms (you'll need at least one of them to have 'Hits multi targets' in order to have the 'pulses' bounce off the walls). Whilst the lasers dispatch High HP targets or the ones behind the walls.
Weapons Array 02
Left Hand: Heavy Shredder (Rare) - +11% ROF, Freeze
Inner Left: Heavy Shredder (Rare) - Hits Multi Targets, +70% Bullet Speed
Right Hand: Heavy Shredder (Rare) - Hits Multi Targets, Freeze
Inner Right: Heavy Shredder (Rare) - Hits Multi Targets, +10% ROF
Desc:
The ONLY setup that can effectively deal with the very last mission AND the final stage. Its the only setup that can kill the homing little critters fast enough and still damage the boss. Although 'Weapons Array 01' can still be used in substitute.. you will find that you have to do a hell of a lot of work with it in order to survive.. =/ I feel that the 'Hits Multi Targets' attribute doesn't matter as much with this.. the increased ROF & Bullet Speed does make a difference though.
